We hope you are looking forward to your upcoming visit to Fripp Island! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests, we want to share an important update regarding golf cart parking. This information does not apply to golf carts owned by members or their rental guests for personal use. The parking decal requirement applies solely to carts not rented or leased directly from Fripp Island Resort.

Effective April 1, 2025, all rental golf carts not rented directly through Fripp Island Resort must have an FIR (Fripp Island Resort) parking decal to park in designated Resort parking lots. It is the responsibility of the rental cart company to obtain parking decals for each of their carts.

The following rental companies are participating in the program, and their carts will be licensed for parking in Resort-owned lots:

Fripp Island Resort Carts
Beaufort Carts
Island Golf Cart Rental
Sutcliffe Carts
Island Spirit Carts
Full Tilt Carts

Authorized carts not owned by Fripp Island Resort will display a parking decal for easy identification. Fripp Island Resort rental carts do not require a parking decal. The following rental companies have decided not to participate in the program and, therefore, will not be authorized to park in Resort-owned lots:

We See’um Golf Carts
Sea Island Carts

The two rental cart companies listed above were notified of the requirement in early January and ultimately decided not to obtain parking access for their carts. Carts without a valid decal will not be allowed to park in Resort-owned lots and are subject to towing.

Unauthorized carts will not be permitted to park in the following Resort-owned areas:

The Beach Club
Racquet Club
Activity Center
Cabana Club
Creek House
Portions of the Marina Village after 5 PM
Wardle’s Landing
Ocean Creek Golf Course
Ocean Point Golf Course
Ocean Point Pool

What to do if your unauthorized rental cart is towed

If an unauthorized rental cart is towed from one of the Resort’s designated parking areas, please contact the rental cart company you utilized. They can pay to have the cart released. Towed carts are securely stored on Fripp Island.
